Licence
Hijaz is licensed to you, not sold. Your licence is Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which applies to every app distributed through the App Store unless the developer supplies its own; we do not. You can read it here: Apple's standard EULA. These terms sit alongside it, and where the two conflict on the licence itself, Apple's text wins.
You may use the app on the devices your Apple Account allows. You may not resell it, rent it out, decompile it or extract its assets for use elsewhere.
Prayer times are a calculation, not an authority
Prayer times in Hijaz are computed from your coordinates, the date and the calculation method you select. They are an astronomical estimate. Different institutions use different angles, different rounding and different local conventions, so times may legitimately differ from your mosque's or your national calendar's by a few minutes in either direction.
Use Hijaz as an aid. The responsibility for the correctness of your worship remains with you, and where there is doubt you should follow the timetable of the authority you take as binding. Pro includes per-prayer adjustments so you can align the app with that timetable.
The same applies to the qibla compass, which depends on your device's magnetometer and can be thrown off by nearby metal, magnets or a poorly calibrated sensor, and to imsak and iftar times in Ramadan.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Whether and when they appear depends on your permissions, on Focus modes, on battery and background settings and on iOS's own limits. We cannot guarantee that a given notification will be delivered, and you should not rely on Hijaz as your only prompt for a prayer.
Purchases
The core of the app is free. Hijaz Pro is an optional in-app purchase, offered as a monthly or an annual subscription. Prices shown on this site are indicative; the price you pay is the one the App Store shows you in your own currency before you confirm.
All payments are taken by Apple through your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends; you can see and cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Restoring a purchase on another device is done with the Restore button on the Pro screen.
Refunds
Because Apple is the seller of record, refunds are requested from Apple, not from us: reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides them under its own policy. We cannot issue, reverse or expedite an App Store refund, though we are glad to help you describe the problem — and if something in the app is at fault, tell us and we will fix it.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, your statutory rights are unaffected by this section.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app or this site in a way that breaks the law, interferes with their operation, or attempts to circumvent the purchase mechanism. The app has no accounts, no messaging and no shared content, so there is nothing here to abuse other than the software itself.
Availability and changes
The app is offered as it is. We may change, add or remove features over time, and features that are free today may change in a later version — but a Pro purchase you have already made will not be taken away from you.
This site is static and may be taken down or moved. The app does not depend on it to function.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hijaz is provided without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use — including a prayer or a fast performed at a time you consider incorrect. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or a consumer's mandatory statutory rights.
Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Support questions come to us: bozapps2026@gmail.com.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you live, which continue to apply to you.
